Raleigh, N.C. — This week will be very average for winter, with highs in the upper 40s or lower 50s each day.
Monday will be a mostly cloudy day with a 20 percent chance for isolated rain moving in around noon. Track the rain with WRAL's DualDoppler 5000.
According to WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner, the rain will be light and quick-moving, and many may not see rain at all. Those who do see it will see it mostly in the afternoon and evening.
Highs in Raleigh will be in the low 50s.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be a few degrees cooler but dry. Temperatures will be in the upper 40s and low 50s, which is average for late January and early February.
Temperatures will get cold each night this week, hovering around 32 degrees, but they won't be below-freezing for a long period of time like they were last week.
A chance for rain returns Thursday, but again, it will be light and scattered. Cool temperatures will carry us into the weekend, which will have a chilly start for Friday and Saturday.
Sunday could be the mildest day of the week, with a high around 58 degrees predicted for Raleigh.
