A prolonged winter event did not leave too much snow, but there was enough for the residents at this Morris home to build a snowman.

There was plenty of snow and heavy fog, but ultimately, the winter storm that pressed its way into the area Thursday through Saturday left only a small mark.

While the conditions left slick conditions on some roads and sidewalks, snowfall totals over the course of the prolonged weekend weather event stayed between 2 to 3 inches throughout the region.

Threats of continued typical winter weather continued as the week began, with freezing rain blanketing the area Monday through Tuesday.
