LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard sat out for most of the second half of the team's Game 4 loss Monday night against the Los Angeles Lakers because of a right knee injury.
"I believe he’s getting an MRI," Portland coach Terry Stotts said postgame.
It is not clear what caused the injury or the severity of it. But Lillard has battled injuries in the past week. He dislocated his left index finger in Game 2 and sat for the fourth quarter to receive treatment. He returned in Game 3 and has worn a splint on his left index and middle fingers since.
Lillard had 11 points on 3-of-9 shooting before leaving the game. He has averaged 24.3 points on 40.6% shooting in four playoff games against the Lakers.
