The older people get, the less they seem to care about certain things then when they were younger. Tom Brady experienced that aspect of life Sunday as the 44-year old quarterback had his right hand taped following a win over the Miami Dolphins

Brady had his right hand taped after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers victory, a game which he threw for 400 yards and five touchdowns in a game for the first time in his career. While the injury doesn't appear to be serious, the Buccaneers have a quick turnaround this week with a Thursday night game against the Philadelphia Eagles

Brady seemed to shake off the severity of the injury.

"In my younger days I probably would've never showed you guys that I wrapped it up because I probably would've tried to keep it a secret, but I think I'm older so I don't care as much," Brady said after Sunday's win. "It's just a football injury so, [I will] do my best to get ready for this game. We'll see what happens."

Brady will probably end up on the injury report this week, but it will be hard to bet on him missing Thursday's game. Brady finished 30 of 41 for 411 yards with five touchdowns, becoming just the second quarterback age 40 or older to throw for 400 yards and five touchdowns in a game (Warren Moon, 1997). Brady had his eighth career game with five pass touchdowns and no interceptions, tied with Drew Brees for the most in NFL history.

Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians didn't seem concerned regarding the extent of Brady's injury, saying it happened early "so it didn't affect him as much." Regardless, the Buccaneers are on a short week so the time to heal up is minimal.

"It's a challenge, but they (Philadelphia) have the same challenge too - it's football," Brady said. "We'll be ready to play Monday nights, Sunday nights, Thursday nights, Sunday days. It's good to win a one o'clock home game, I know that those feel good. We all have the night to get a lot of hydration, get a lot of treatment and get a good night's sleep and then be ready for the week."
