Fresh snow is on the ground and this week will feel a lot like Winter. Not too many days will be above normal until next week.

For today you can expect frigid conditions early on with many locations well below zero. There will be a mix of sun and clouds as the days wears on and high temps should reach the mid to upper 20s, which is fairly close to normal for this time of year. A weak front moving through Northcentral Wisconsin tonight will bring more clouds and a small chance of flurries, otherwise tomorrow should be pretty similar to today with some sun breaking out at times and high temps in the mid to upper 20s.

For Wednesday, the weather should start out quiet, then we will have increasing clouds as a low pressure system approaches from the south and an arctic cold front moves in from the north. As of now, it does not look like these two weather features will merge and amplify over our area, so snowfall should not be too heavy. As of now, it looks like and inch or two is possible during the late afternoon and evening on Wednesday. Ahead of the snow, temps will be a little milder, topping out in the low 30s.

After the arctic cold front moves through temps will plunge. Highs on Thursday will be in the single digits to around 10. Low temps Thursday night into Friday morning will drop well below zero, then high temps will only reach the teens on Friday.

Temperatures should be more seasonal over the weekend. We will also see more clouds move in with a chance of snow. As of now, it looks like the higher chance of snow over the weekend will be on Saturday. Highs should top out in the upper 20s on Saturday and Sunday.
